Management

Dean Worthington | FOUNDER

I started in 2006 as an apprentice fitter and machinist manufacturing inner tubes, sampling and swivel components with Australia’s largest privately owned drilling company. I then moved on and my trade was completed in 2010 in the drill rig assembly and rebuild workshop.

I then went to work around Australia supporting maintenance operations, which eventually lead to work in internationally. I was fortunate enough to gain experience working all throughout Africa, the Middle East, Centeral and South America performing ground up drill rig rebuilds and general maintenance.

After years of national and international experience I then relocated back to Australia to manage manufacturing of Australia’s most advanced automated drill rigs.

This then lead me to found Worth Drill in 2020 with the belief that the current drill rig manufacturing industry was slow, expensive and outdated.

With a small but experienced team we began work on the “Model 8”.
